The location of the transformer can be tricky especially if you have a finished basement. Older homes may not have the proper transformer because way back when the home was built doorbells were not meant to draw tons of power.

Due to the angle of my camera, only half the camera's field of vision can see the street, which is about 25-30 feet from my front door.
